HIGH ADVENTURE AND THE RIDDLE OF STEEL.

Well, here we are. I have been told by more than a few peeps that i need to go ahead and start a blog. And at this point in my life, I have to agree. This outlet will serve as a placeholder for my day to day ramblings, in an environment that is non threatening. I will post the links to the entries on my Facebook page, and if you want to follow the link, you can. If not, you no longer have to have your feed clogged up by my rambling! It's a win/win.  You will also notice the blatant Conan reference. I have an unending affinity for high adventure, so Conan (specifically Robert E. Howard's version, and any of the Savage Sword) is my default when it comes to expressing my idea of adventure. Wandering the wastelands, looking out for one's self, but working for the greater good. It is my hope that i can open up some dialogue with my friends and family, and use this as an open forum for discussion. Not unlike Facebook, but the difference here is that you can chose whether or not to read it. Expect to see a lot of pinball, music, movies, hockey, Star Wars, remarks on current political climate, how all of those things relate to my personal beliefs and my walk with God, as well as a place for non-confrontational, non judgmental, intelligent dialogues about faith and why I follow the course that I do. This will be a hate free environment.  Plain and simple. I want my friends to read what I say, and have an intelligent conversation about it. I want to get people talking. I want to be the polar opposite of the "street preachers" we have in this town condemning perfect strangers. To get to the point, I just want to have fun, talk about stuff, and share my faith. In a dialogue. Thats the key word here. Dialogue. A discussion between two or more parties. I think thats something that has contributed to our current situation. No one talks any more. We just yell at each other and refuse to take in to account that sometimes we need to listen. As opposed to just walling ourselves off. So, for now, I will sign off. In the meantime, be good to each other!

  3. I agree. Always great to get thoughts in writing. Plus you can look back and reflect on your ideas and make changes as necessary. Like your mom said, therapeutic in a sense!
